Removal [12/2012 - ]: Procedure

PRECAUTION
WARNING:

NOTE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

- When removing front seat assembly RH, perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check.
  Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2012 - ]
- When replacing the occupant classification ECU, perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check.

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH
1. for Manual Seat:
  Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - 08/2016] Refer to REMOVAL [08/2016 - ]
2. for Power Seat:
  Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]

REMOVE OCCUPANT DETECTION ECU

Disconnect the 2 connectors.

*1	Protective Tape

Using a screwdriver, detach the claw to remove the occupant classification ECU.
HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
