Installation [12/2012 - 08/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Set the front seatback heater assembly RH on the separate type front seatback cover.
    2. Using a tacker, install the front seatback heater assembly RH to the separate type front seatback cover with 14 new tack pins as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Do not substitute other metal parts for tack pins.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER 
    1. Set the separate type front seatback cover in place.
    2. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback pad with 8 new hog rings as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      HINT: 

      Install the hog rings at the cutouts if they are there.

    3. Pass the separate type front seatback cover bracket through the separate type front seatback pad.
    4. Install the 2 nuts.

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

    5. Close the 2 fasteners.
    6. Pull the straps to tighten them and confirm that there is a protrusion visible on each side.

    7. Using hog ring pliers, connect the straps of the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly RH with 3 new hog rings as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the straps of the separate type front seatback cover.

      HINT: 

      Install the hog rings at the cutouts if they are there.

    8. Using hog ring pliers, install the separate type front seatback cover to the separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly RH with 5 new hog rings as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:
      • Be careful not to damage the separate type front seatback cover.
      • Be sure to securely install the hog rings as shown in the illustration while preventing wrinkles from forming on the separate type front seatback cover.

      HINT: 

      Install the hog rings at the cutouts if they are there.

  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT 
    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the 2 front seat headrest supports.
  4. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the separate type front seatback assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Attach the 2 hook.

    3. Connect the wire harness of the front seat inner belt assembly with the screw.
    4. Attach the fastener to connect the wire harness of the front seat side airbag.

    5. Attach the 4 wire harness clamps and connector clamp to connect the wire harness of the front seat side airbag.

    6. Attach the wire harness clamp and connector clamp.

    7. Connect the connector.
    8. Connect the rubber band.
  5. INSTALL FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH 
    1. Attach the 3 guides and 2 claws to install the front inner seat cushion shield RH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH 
    1. Attach the 3 guides and claw to install the front seat cushion shield RH as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

    2. Attach the claw and 2 clips.

  7. INSTALL RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH 
    1. Attach the claw to install the reclining adjuster release handle RH.
  8. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the driver seat.

  9. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SYSTEM 

    Refer to OPERATION CHECK [12/2012 - ]
