Removal [12/2012 - 10/2015]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2012 - ] ).
- PLACE FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2012 - 10/2015] ).
- REMOVE STEERING PAD
Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY
- Remove the steering wheel assembly set nut.
- Put matchmarks on the steering wheel assembly and steering main shaft.
*a Matchmark - Disconnect the connectors from the spiral cable.
- Using SST, remove the steering wheel assembly.

*a Hold *b Turn NOTE:Apply a small amount of grease to the threads and tip of SST (09953-05020) before use.

- REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [12/2012 - 11/2013] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [11/2013 - ]
- REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH WIRE
- Remove the cruise control switch wire from the cruise control main switch.
- REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE STEERING WHEEL BOSS LOWER COVER
