Reverse Signal Circuit [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE SIGNAL (DISPLAY CHECK MODE) 
    1. Enter the "Function Check/Setting I" mode and select "Vehicle Signal".

    2. Check that the display changes between ON and OFF according to the shift lever position.

      OK

      Shift Lever Position Display
      R ON
      Except R OFF

      HINT: 

      This display is updated once per second. As a result, it is normal for the display to lag behind the actual shift lever position.

  2. INSPECT PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the park/neutral position switch assembly.

      for U760E:

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]

      for U760F:

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]

    2. Inspect the park/neutral position switch assembly.

      for U760E:

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2012 - ]

      for U760F:

      Refer to INSPECTION [12/2012 - ]

    REPLACE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY - NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY AND BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the B91 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G143 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B91-2 (RL) - G143-2 (REV) Always Below 1 Ω
      B91-2 (RL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      B91-1 (RB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  1

    OK 

    REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY - RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY AND BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the B91 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the G172 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B91-2 (RL) - G172-2 (REV) Always Below 1 Ω
      B91-2 (RL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      B91-1 (RB) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  1

    OK 

    REPLACE RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ]
