- INSTALL REAR DISC
- INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING HOLE PLUG
- CHECK DISC RUNOUT

- ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE
- Temporarily install the hub nuts.
- Remove the shoe adjusting hole plug, and then turn the adjuster to expand the shoe adjuster until the disc locks.
Shoe Adjuster Contracts Shoe Adjuster Expands - Turn the shoe adjuster so that it contracts to a point where the disc rotates smoothly.

- Check that the shoe has no brake drag.
- INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE BUSH DUST BOOT
- Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new rear disc brake bush dust boot where it contacts the rear disc brake cylinder mounting, and the entire inner circumference of both of its ends.
*1 Lithium soap base glycol grease HINT:
Apply at least 0.3 g (0.01 oz.) of lithium soap base glycol grease to the rear disc brake bush dust boot.
NOTE:Apply a sufficient amount of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of the rear disc brake bush dust boot and rear disc brake cylinder mounting contact surfaces.
- Install the 2 rear disc brake bush dust boots to the rear disc brake cylinder mounting.
- Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the entire circumference of a new rear disc brake bush dust boot where it contacts the rear disc brake cylinder mounting, and the entire inner circumference of both of its ends.
- INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE BUSH
- INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE PIN
- Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the sliding part and the seal surface of the 2 rear disc brake cylinder slide pins.
*1 Rear No. 1 Disc Brake Cylinder Slide Pin *2 Rear Disc Brake Rear Cylinder Slide Pin *3 Lithium soap base glycol grease - Install the rear No. 1 disc brake cylinder slide pin and rear disc brake rear cylinder slide pin to the rear disc brake cylinder mounting.
- Apply a light coat of lithium soap base glycol grease to the sliding part and the seal surface of the 2 rear disc brake cylinder slide pins.
- INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER MOUNTING LH
- Install the rear disc brake cylinder mounting with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 88 N*m (897 kgf*cm, 65 ft.*lbf)
- Install the rear disc brake cylinder mounting with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL DISC BRAKE PAD SUPPORT PLATE
- Install the 2 pad support plates to the disc brake cylinder mounting.
- INSTALL PAD WEAR INDICATOR PLATE
- Install the 2 indicator plates to the lower side of each pad.
- INSTALL REAR ANTI-SQUEAL SHIM KIT
- INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE PAD
- Install the 2 disc brake pads to the rear disc brake cylinder mounting.NOTE:
Make sure there is no oil or grease on the friction surface of the pads and disc.
- Install the 2 disc brake pads to the rear disc brake cylinder mounting.
- INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
- CONNECT REAR FLEXIBLE HOSE LH
- Install a new gasket and connect the flexible hose with a new union bolt.
Torque: 39.2 N*m (400 kgf*cm, 29 ft.*lbf)
HINT:
Install the flexible hose lock securely in the lock hole in the cylinder.
- Install a new gasket and connect the flexible hose with a new union bolt.
- FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER BRACKET LH

- BLEED BRAKE LINE
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2
- INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER BRACKET LH
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3
- INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 N*m (1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
