Inspection [12/2012 - 10/2015]: Procedure
- INSPECT BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)
- Check the operation of the opener switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(Back Door Opener Switch Assembly)Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 2 (E) - 3 (UL) Back door opener switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher 2 (E) - 3 (UL) Back door opener switch pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Check the operation of the lock switch.

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 1 (L) - 2 (E) Back door lock switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher 1 (L) - 2 (E) Back door lock switch pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Check the operation of the opener switch.
- INSTALL BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/o Entry and Start System)
- Check the operation of the opener switch.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 2 (E) - 3 (UL) Back door opener switch not pushed (OFF) 10 kΩ or higher 2 (E) - 3 (UL) Back door opener switch pushed (ON) Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the back door opener switch assembly.
