DTC P324E-788: MG-ECU Power Relay Intermittent Circuit [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
4. Check if DTCs are output.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   P324E-788 only is output.	A
   U0110-159, 160, 656, 657 are also output.	B

5. Turn the power switch off.

B → Refer to   8 

A: Go to next step 

NG → CONNECT SECURELY 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
   NOTE:

   After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.

2. Disconnect connector A59 from the inverter with converter assembly.
3. Remove the IGCT relay from the engine room relay block and junction block assembly.
4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

5. Install the IGCT relay.
6. Connect the power management control ECU connector.

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
4. Check if DTCs are output.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   Only DTC P0A1A-151, P3133-659 or P324E-788 is output.	A
   DTC P0A94-172, P0A94-553 or P0A94-557 is also output.	B
   Other than above.	C

5. Turn the power switch off.

B → Refer to   6 

C → Refer to   8 

A: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch off and wait for 30 seconds or more.
3. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 5 seconds or more.
4. Turn the power switch on (READY).
5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
6. Check if DTCs are output.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   No DTCs are output (not including history DTCs).	A
   Only DTC P0A1A-151, P3133-659 or P324E-788 is output.	B
   Other than above.	C

7. Turn the power switch off.

A → Refer to   10 

B → Refer to   11 

C → Refer to   8 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
4. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.
5. Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
6. Turn the power switch off.

NEXT: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 5 seconds or more.
3. Turn the power switch on (READY) and wait for 5 seconds or more.
4. Depress the accelerator pedal with the engine stopped and park (P) selected to start the engine and idle it for 10 seconds or more.
5. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
6. Check if DTCs are output.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   No DTCs are output.	A
   DTC P0A94-553, P0A94-557, P0CA3-442, P3004-800 or P3004-801 is output.	A
   DTCs other than P0A94-553, P0A94-557, P0CA3-442, P3004-800 or P3004-801 are output.	B

7. Turn the power switch off.
