Removal [11/2015 - 12/2018]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.

    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PRECAUTION [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - 12/2018]

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  7. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9 [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  9. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  10. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  11. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  12. REMOVE LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  13. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 24 [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  14. REMOVE NO. 2 LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 27 [11/2017 - 12/2018]

  15. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL UNIT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the clamp.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts and separate the shift lock control unit assembly from the No. 1 instrument panel brace sub-assembly and No. 2 instrument panel brace sub-assembly.
    3. Disconnect the shift lock control unit assembly connector to remove the shift lock control unit assembly.
