Removal [11/2015 - 12/2018]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION WARNING:
Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing.
Refer to PRECAUTION [11/2015 - 12/2018]
NOTE:After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- REMOVE GLOVE BOX LIGHT ASSEMBLY
Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to REMOVAL [11/2017 - 12/2018]
- DISCONNECT NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
- Check that the power switch is off.
- Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
- Slide the slider to release the lock, and then disconnect the connector.
*a Slider NOTE:When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
- REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 30 [11/2015 - 11/2017] , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32 [11/2017 - 12/2018]
- REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY WARNING:
When storing the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.
Deployment Side - Remove the 2 screws.
- Using a screwdriver, pry back the passenger airbag door retainer to disengage the 3 hooks as shown in the illustration.
*a Passenger Airbag Door Retainer NOTE:Do not damage the deployment surface of the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.
- Disengage the 3 hooks to remove the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly from the lower instrument panel sub-assembly.
- Remove the 2 screws.
- REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE
- Disengage the clamp.
*a Protective Tape *b Airbag Connector *c Airbag Connector Lock - Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, release the 2 airbag connector locks.
- Disconnect the 2 airbag connectors to remove the No. 2 instrument panel wire from the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.NOTE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
- Disengage the clamp.
