Removal [07/2020 -]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [08/2019 -]

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [07/2020 -]

  3. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH 

    HINT: 

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

      Protective Tape - -
    2. Remove the 2 clips.

    3. Disengage the 11 clips and 4 guides as shown in the illustration.

      Remove in this Direction - -
      NOTE:
      • Do not damage the upper instrument panel assembly.
      • Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
    4. Lift the upper instrument panel assembly as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:
      • Do not damage the upper instrument panel assembly.
      • Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.
    5. Using a moulding remover, slightly lift the instrument cluster finish panel assembly and then disengage the 17 clips and 10 guides as shown in the illustration to remove the instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

  10. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Disengage the clamp.

    3. Disconnect the 2 connectors to remove the combination meter assembly.
