Daytime Running Light Circuit [12/2018 -]: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPERATION (LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS) 
    1. Check the operation of the low beam headlights.

      OK

      The low beam headlights operate normally.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [12/2018 -] 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / AFS / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Active Test

      Daytime Running Light Daytime running lights OFF or ON -

      Body Electrical > AFS > Active Test

      OK

      Daytime running lights illuminate.

  3. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Interchange the headlight unit assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2018 -]

  4. CHECK OPERATION (DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS) 
    1. Check the operation of the daytime running lights.

      OK

      The daytime running lights operate normally.

    REPLACE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2018 -]

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [12/2018 -] 

  5. CHECK HEADLIGHT UNIT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Interchange the headlight unit assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [12/2018 -]

      Result

  6. CHECK OPERATION (DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS) 
    1. Check the operation of the daytime running lights.
