DTC B1500: Fuel Sender Open Detected [11/2015 - ]: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (FUEL INPUT)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Data List.
- Check the values by referring to the table below.COMBINATION METER

- INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the G1 combination meter assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the G1 combination meter assembly connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the M22 fuel sender gauge assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition G1-2 (L) - M22-2 (FS) Always Below 1 Ω G1-2 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher M22-3 (FE)- Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

- INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY
- Remove the fuel sender gauge assembly (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - ]
).
- Check that the float moves smoothly between E and F.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Float level is F (upper) 13.5 to 16.5 Ω 1 - 2 Float level is between F (upper) and E (lower) 13.5 to 415.5 Ω (Gradually changes) 1 - 2 Float level is E (lower) 405.5 to 414.5 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector

- CHECK FUEL SUCTION TUBE ASSEMBLY WITH PUMP AND GAUGE
- Visually check for deformation on the fuel suction tube assembly with pump and gauge connector.
OK
There is no deformation.
