Removal [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL RH 
  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH 

    See step  17

  3. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT 
    1. Prepare a clean durable piece of cloth and fold it several times.

      HINT: 

      Fold the cloth several times to make it thicker.

    2. Pass the cloth under the V-ribbed belt between the crankshaft pulley and water pump pulley as shown in the illustration.

      NOTE:

      Position the cloth so that the part closest to the engine is longer.

    3. Slightly rotate the crankshaft pulley clockwise so that the cloth is pulled between the V-ribbed belt and crankshaft pulley.

      NOTE:

      Make sure that the cloth is pulled around no more than 50% of the pulley.

    4. While gradually rotating the crankshaft pulley clockwise, pull the side of the cloth that is outside of the V-ribbed belt away from the engine.

      NOTE:

      Pull the cloth until part of the V-ribbed belt comes off the crankshaft pulley.

    5. Continue to rotate the crankshaft pulley clockwise until the V-ribbed belt is completely removed from the crankshaft pulley.
