DTC P107C: Fuel Rail Low Pressure Sensor (Low); DTC P107D: Fuel Rail Low Pressure Sensor (High) [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LOW FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR)
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Put the engine in inspection mode (maintenance mode).

Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Utility

      Tester Display
      Inspection Mode
    5. Start the engine.
    6. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Low Fuel Pressure Sensor.

Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List

      Tester Display
      Low Fuel Pressure Sensor
    7. Read the values.

      OK

250 to 700 kPa (gauge) [36.263 to 101.535 psi (gauge)] (idling, warmed up engine).

      Result

Low Fuel Pressure Sensor Proceed to
Approximately 720 kPa (gauge) [104 psi (gauge)] or higher A
Approximately 0 kPa (gauge) [0 psi (gauge)]
      (250 to 700 kPa (gauge) [36.263 to 101.535 psi (gauge)])* B

      HINT:

*: The value must change when the engine is moving or stationary.

    Result:

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to  CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [11/2016 - ]

    Result:

    See step  2

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR (FOR LOW PRESSURE SIDE) - ECM)
    1. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor (for low pressure side) connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C72-1 (VC) - C1-126 (VCPF) Always Below 1 Ω
      C72-2 (PFL) - C1-125 (PFL) Always Below 1 Ω
      C72-3 (E2) - C1-93 (EPFL) Always Below 1 Ω
C72-1 (VC) or C1-126 (VCPF) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
C72-2 (PFL) or C1-125 (PFL) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:

    NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    Result:

    OK

    See step  3

(to Fuel Pressure Sensor (for Low Pressure Side))
    1. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor (for low pressure side) connector.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C72-1 (VC) - C72-3 (E2) Power switch on (IG) 4.75 to 5.25 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

      HINT:

Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the fuel pressure sensor (for low pressure side).

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2016 - ]

    Result:

    OK

REPLACE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH SENSOR ASSEMBLY (FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR (FOR LOW PRESSURE SIDE)). Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

    Result:

    NG

REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]
