Installation [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY GASKET 
    1. Install a new throttle body gasket to the intake air surge tank assembly with the protrusion of the throttle body gasket oriented as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2016 - ]

    1. Install the throttle body with motor assembly to the intake air surge tank assembly with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      NOTE:

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

    2. Connect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.
    3. Connect the No. 2 water by-pass hose and No. 3 water by-pass hose to the throttle body with motor assembly and slide the 2 clips to secure them.
  3. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 
    1. Install the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose to the throttle body with motor assembly.
      NOTE:

      Align the cutout of the air cleaner hose with the protrusion of the throttle body with motor assembly.

      *a Cutout
      *b Protrusion
      *c Hose Clamp
      *d Up
      *e Stopper
      *f Air Cleaner Hose
      *g 5.0 to 9.0 mm (0.197 to 0.354 in.)
    2. Tighten the hose clamp in the position shown in the illustration.

      HINT: 

      Make sure that the condition of the hose clamp is as shown in the illustration.

    3. Engage the fuel vapor feed hose assembly to the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.
    4. Connect the No. 2 ventilation hose to the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose and slide the clip to secure it.
    5. Engage the wire harness clamp and grommet to install the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.
    6. Connect the mass air flow meter sub-assembly connector.
    7. Install the 2 bolts to the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose.

      Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf) 

  4. INSTALL OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  5. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2014 - ]

  6. INSTALL INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the inlet air cleaner assembly to the air cleaner assembly with air cleaner hose with the 3 bolts in several steps in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

    2. Engage the 3 inverter drain hose clamps.
  7. ADD ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  8. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  9. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE SEAL RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR SEAL LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE:
    • Be sure to perform this procedure after removing and reinstalling the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components.
    • Perform the following procedure after replacing the throttle body with motor assembly or any throttle body with motor assembly components. The following procedure should also be performed if the throttle body with motor assembly is cleaned.
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [11/2016 - ]

    3. Perform "Inspection After Repair".

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [11/2016 - ]

    4. Start the engine and check that the MIL is not illuminated. After the engine is warmed up, check that the idle speed is within the specified range with the A/C switch off.

      Standard

      950 to 1050 rpm

      NOTE:
      • Be sure to perform this step with all accessories off.
      • Make sure that the shift lever is in P.
    5. Perform a road test and confirm that there are no abnormalities.
