Removal [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [11/2016 - ]

  2. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 1) 
    1. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and VVT sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      If the VVT sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  3. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 1) 
    1. Disconnect the No. 3 ignition coil assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.

    3. Remove the bolt and VVT sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      If the VVT sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  4. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 2) 
    1. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and VVT sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      If the VVT sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  5. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2) 
    1. Disconnect the VVT sensor connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and VVT sensor from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.
      NOTE:

      If the VVT sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
