Fuel Injector Circuit [02/2014 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE (POWER SOURCE OF FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY)

    *a Front view of wire harness connector
    (to Fuel Injector Assembly)
    1. Disconnect the fuel injector assembly connector.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C24-2 - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      C26-2 - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      C27-2 - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      C29-2 - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      C30-2 - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      C31-2 - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG

    OK

  2. INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Inspect the fuel injector assembly.

      Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - 11/2016]

      HINT: 

      Perform "Inspection After Repair" after replacing the fuel injector assembly.

      Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2014 - 11/2016]

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016] 

    Result:  1

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY - ECM) 
    1. Disconnect the fuel injector assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      C24-1 - C1-19 (#10) Always Below 1 Ω
      C26-1 - C1-20 (#20) Always Below 1 Ω
      C27-1 - C1-53 (#30) Always Below 1 Ω
      C29-1 - C1-49 (#40) Always Below 1 Ω
      C30-1 - C1-21 (#50) Always Below 1 Ω
      C31-1 - C1-52 (#60) Always Below 1 Ω
      C24-1 or C1-19 (#10) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C26-1 or C1-20 (#20) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C27-1 or C1-53 (#30) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C29-1 or C1-49 (#40) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C30-1 or C1-21 (#50) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      C31-1 or C1-52 (#60) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEMICONDUCTOR PWR INTEGRATION ECU - FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the fuel injector assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the semiconductor pwr integration ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1G-3 - C24-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-3 - C26-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-3 - C27-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-3 - C29-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-3 - C30-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-3 - C31-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      1G-3 or C24-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1G-3 or C26-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1G-3 or C27-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1G-3 or C29-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1G-3 or C30-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      1G-3 or C31-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  5. INSPECT SEMICONDUCTOR PWR INTEGRATION ECU 
    1. Inspect the semiconductor pwr integration ECU (IG2 relay).

      Refer to INSPECTION [02/2014 - ]

      Result

    Result:  1

    OK 

    GO TO ECM POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT. Refer to  ECM Power Source Circuit [02/2014 - 11/2016]  

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE SEMICONDUCTOR PWR INTEGRATION ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]
