Removal [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE 

    Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  4. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

  5. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016]

  7. REMOVE INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the union to check valve hose from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    2. Disconnect the union to check valve hose from the hose clamp.
    3. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    4. Disconnect the fuel vapor feed hose from the hose clamp.
    5. Slide the clip and disconnect the ventilation hose from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    6. Disconnect the intake air control valve (for ACIS) connector.

    7. Remove the bolt and separate the throttle body bracket from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    8. Remove the bolt and separate the No. 1 surge tank stay from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    9. Remove the 2 nuts from the intake air surge tank assembly.

    10. Using a 5 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 4 bolts and intake air surge tank assembly from the intake manifold.
    11. Remove the 3 intake air surge tank gaskets from the intake manifold.

  8. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Engine Mounting stay Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE MOUNTING STAY RH (for Intake Manifold Side) 
    1. Remove the bolt and No. 2 engine mounting stay RH from the intake manifold.

  10. REMOVE FUEL HOSE PROTECTOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  11. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  12. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  13. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD 
    1. Remove the 6 bolts, 4 nuts and intake manifold from the cylinder head sub-assembly.

    2. Remove the intake manifold to head gasket from each cylinder head sub-assembly.

  14. REMOVE STUD BOLT 

    HINT: 

    If a stud bolt is deformed or the threads are damaged, replace it.

    1. Using an E6 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 stud bolts from the intake manifold.
