DTC B2342: Switch Failure [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Sliding Roof / Data List.
5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

   OFF appears on the Techstream screen.

   Proceed to

   NG

Result:

REPLACE SLIDING ROOF ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY): 

Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ] .

Result: 

NG 

Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the S5 sliding roof ECU (sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly) connector.
2. Disconnect the S1 sliding roof switch (map light assembly) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   S5-7 (OPN) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   S5-5 (CLS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   S5-6 (DWN) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   S5-4 (UP) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   S1-17 (OPN) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   S1-16 (CLS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   S1-5 (DOWN) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   S1-6 (UP) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

1. Remove the sliding roof switch (map light assembly).

   Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ] .

2. Inspect the sliding roof switch (map light assembly).

   Refer to INSPECTION [12/2013 - ] .

   Proceed to

REPLACE SLIDING ROOF ECU (SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY):
