DTC C1621: Back Camera Power Supply Failure [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. CONFIRM MODEL 
    1. Choose the model to be inspected.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the F117 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the X12 television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F117-11 (CA+) - X12-6 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F117-23 (CGND) - X12-5 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      F117-11 (CA+) - F117-23 (CGND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F117-11 (CA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F117-23 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result:  1

    OK

  3. INSPECT NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (CGND, CA+) 
    1. Reconnect the F117 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F117-11 (CA+) - F117-23 (CGND) Engine switch on (ACC) 5.5 to 7.05 V

      (Navigation Receiver Assembly)

      NG

    Result:  1

    OK 

    REPLACE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2013 - ] 

    Result:  2

    NG 

    REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2013 - ] 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the F72 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the X12 television camera assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F72-11 (CA+) - X12-6 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F72-23 (CGND) - X12-5 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      F72-11 (CA+) - F72-23 (CGND) Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F72-11 (CA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F72-23 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      NG

    Result:  2

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  5. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY (CGND, CA+) 
    1. Reconnect the F72 radio and display receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F72-11 (CA+) - F72-23 (CGND) Engine switch on (ACC) 5.5 to 7.05 V
