Removal [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL 
  2. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER 

    See step  2 , or see step  2

  3. SEPARATE REAR SPEED SENSOR (for AWD) 
    1. Remove the bolt and separate the rear speed sensor from the rear trailing arm assembly.

  4. REMOVE REAR TRAILING ARM ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and separate the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the rear trailing arm assembly.

    2. Support the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly using a jack and wooden block.

      *a Wooden Block
      *b Jack
      WARNING:

      Do not jack up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly too high as the vehicle may fall.

      NOTE:

      When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts, 2 washers and rear trailing arm assembly.

    4. Slowly lower the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.
