DTC C1A52: Driving Support ECU Communication Abnormal [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (PRE-COLLISION 2) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - ] .
    4. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.
    6. Check for DTCs.

      OK

      DTC C1A52 is not output

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → See step   4 

  2. REPLACE ECM 
    1. Replace the ECM with a new one. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] for 2GR-FE. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] 2AR-FE).

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK FOR DTC (PRE-COLLISION 2) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - ] .
    4. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.
    6. Check for DTCs.

      OK

      DTC C1A52 is not output

    NG → See step   5 

    OK → END (ECM WAS DEFECTIVE) 

  4. USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2015 - ] 
  5. REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
