DTC C1524: Motor Circuit Malfunction; DTC C1555: Motor Relay Welding Failure [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Disengage the 4 claws to remove the protector. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] - Step 6 .
2. Check that the motor terminal bolts are tightened to the specified torque. Refer to INSTALLATION [08/2015 - ] - Step 1 .

   OK

   The motor terminal bolts are tightened to the specified torque.

NG → TIGHTEN BOLT TO SPECIFIED TORQUE 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Remove the power steering motor assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] .

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK: Go to next step 

1. Turn the engine switch off.
2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
3. Start the engine.
4. Turn the Techstream on.
5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Data List.
6. Select the items "Motor Terminal Volt (U)", "Motor Terminal Volt (V)" and "Motor Terminal Volt (W)" in the Data List and read the value displayed on the Techstream.
