TS and CG Terminal Circuit [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2015 - ] .

   Result

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   I39-12 (TS) - I39-4 (CG)	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

OK: Go to next step 

1. Turn the ignition switch off.

2. Using SST, connect terminals TS and CG of the DLC3.
   • SST: 09843-18040 
3. Check that the P/S warning light is blinking.

   OK

   The P/S warning light is blinking.

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRE HARNESS OR POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY 

OK → See step   7 

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Disconnect the power steering ECU assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   FOR 2GR-FE
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   I39-12 (TS) - j3-5 (TS)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   I39-12 (TS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   FOR 2AR-FE

   I39-12 (TS) - j1-6 (TS)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   I39-12 (TS) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

1. Reconnect the power steering ECU assembly connector.
