CD cannot be Inserted or is Ejected Right After Insertion [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK IF A PROPER CD IS INSERTED 
    1. Make sure that the CD is an audio CD or a CD with an MP3, WMA or AAC files, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, deteriorated or otherwise defective.

      OK

      Normal CD.

      HINT: 

      • Translucent or uniquely-shaped CDs cannot be played.
      • CDs with adhesive paper labels should not be played.
      • Commercial audio CDs can be played.
      • CD-DA files on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs can be played.
      • MP3, WMA and AAC files on CD-ROMs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs can be played.
      • For details on playable CDs, refer to Owner's Manual.

    NG → CHANGE CD 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK THAT CD IS INSERTED PROPERLY 
    1. Check the CD is inserted upside down.

      OK

      CD is properly inserted.

    NG → INSERT CD PROPERLY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CLEAN CD AND RECHECK 
    1. Clean the CD by wiping it clean with a soft cloth from the inside to the outside in a radial direction.

      OK

      Malfunction disappears.

      NOTE:

      Do not use a conventional record cleaner or anti-static preservative.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → END (CD WAS DIRTY) 

  4. REPLACE CD AND RECHECK 
    1. Replace the CD with a new or known good one and check that the malfunction disappears.

      OK

      Malfunction disappears.

    NG → See step   5 

    OK → END (CD WAS FAULTY) 

  5. REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
