DTC B15F7: Certification ECU Vehicle Information Reading/Writing Process Malfunction [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2015 - ] .

   OK

   CAN communication DTCs are not output.

OK: Go to next step 

1. for Entry Function:

   Check if the smart key system is malfunctioning. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2015 - ] .

   for Start Function:

   Check if the smart key system is malfunctioning. Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [08/2015 - ] .

   HINT: 

   Customization may not be possible depending on the malfunction in the smart key system.

   OK

   No malfunctions are present in the smart key system.

1. Make a note of the customizable items for the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) related system.

To match-up the items on the navigation system vehicle customization screen with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the smart key system (for Entry Function) related items that can be customized via the navigation system vehicle customization screen. Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [08/2015 - ] .
   2. To match-up the items on the navigation system vehicle customization screen with the items on the Techstream, check the customize parameters list for the smart key system (for Start Function) related items that can be customized via the navigation system vehicle customization screen. Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS [08/2015 - ] .
2. Using the Techstream, confirm that it is possible to change the settings of the customize parameters that are available for customization via the navigation system vehicle customization screen.

   OK

   The items available for customization via the navigation system vehicle customization screen can be customized successfully using the Techstream.
