Optional components (including associated wiring) are installed. A
Optional components (including associated wiring) are not installed. B

      HINT:

      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.
      • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

    B → See step   4

    A: Go to next step

  3. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)
    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).
      NOTE:

Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    NEXT: Go to next step

  4. CHECK DTC
    1. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - ] .
    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   5

    OK → END

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)
    1. Disconnect the I68 and I69 stereo component amplifier assembly connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I68-3 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I68-1 (+B) - I68-3 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      I69-12 (ACC) - I68-3 (GND) Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)
    1. Disconnect the I8 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the I69 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I8-7 (TX1+) - I69-8 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I8-8 (TX1-) - I69-7 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
I8-7 (TX1+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I8-8 (TX1-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step

  7. REPLACE STEREO COMPONENT AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY
    1. Replace the stereo component amplifier assembly with a new or known good one. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2015 - ] .
    2. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - ] .
    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      OK

      No DTCs are output.

    NG → See step   8

    OK → END

  8. REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
  9. GO TO DTC B15C3. Refer to  DTC B15C3: Speaker Output Short [08/2015 - ]
