Mute Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Stereo Component Amplifier [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   I69-1 (MUTE) - Body ground	Ignition switch ACC Audio system playing → Audio system changing modes	2.0 V or higher → Below 1 V

NG → See step   2 

OK → See step   5 

1. Disconnect the I8 navigation receiver assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the I69 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   I8-16 (MUT1) - I69-1 (MUTE)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   I8-16 (MUT1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Disconnect the I8 navigation receiver assembly connector.
2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   I8-16 (MUT1) - Body ground	Ignition switch ACC Audio system playing	2.0 V or higher
