Tire Pressure Monitor ECU Communication Stop Mode [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver connector.

      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System with Smart Key System
      *2 w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System without Smart Key System
      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Tire Pressure Warning ECU and Receiver)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System with Smart Key System)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O25-9 (CANH) - O25-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

      Standard Resistance (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System without Smart Key System)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O33-9 (CANH) - O33-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINES OR CONNECTOR (TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      *1 w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System with Smart Key System
      *2 w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System without Smart Key System
      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Tire Pressure Warning ECU and Receiver)

      Standard Resistance (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System with Smart Key System)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O25-12 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      Standard Resistance (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System without Smart Key System)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O33-12 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System with Smart Key System)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O25-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

      Standard Voltage (w/o Intuitive Parking Assist System without Smart Key System)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O33-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
