Navigation ECU Communication Stop Mode [08/2015 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE)
- Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Disconnect the I8 navigation receiver assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I8-9 (CANH) - I8-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector
(to Navigation Receiver Assembly)
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY)
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the I6 navigation receiver assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I6-7 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω - Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I6-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Ignition switch ACC 11 to 14 V I6-4 (+B1) - Body ground Ignition switch off 11 to 14 V I8-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*a Front view of wire harness connector
