Engine Coolant Temperature Receiver Gauge Malfunction [06/2016 - ]: Procedure

1. Check if meter / gauge system DTCs are output.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2016 - ]

   OK

   DTCs are not output.

Result: 

NG 

GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [06/2016 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Check if the system outputs DTCs.

   Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [06/2016 - ]

   OK

   DTCs are not output.

Result: 

B 

GO TO SFI SYSTEM. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [06/2016 - 03/2017]  Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [03/2017 - 07/2018]  Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [07/2018 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
5. According to the display on the tester, perform the Active Test.
   COMBINATION METER

   Water Temperature Meter Operation	Water temperature gauge	LOW, NORMAL, HIGH	Vehicle is stopped and engine is idling

   OK

   The value selected during Active Test is displayed.
