Diagnosis Circuit [08/2015 - 08/2019]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 
    1. Check if a CAN communication system DTC is output (Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2015 - 08/2019] ).
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC is output B

    Result: 

    REPAIR CIRCUITS INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTCS 

    (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [08/2015 - 08/2019] )

    Result:

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - ECM) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the F50 connector from the ECM.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F13-13 (TC) - F50-28 (TC) Always Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of DLC3
      *b Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to ECM)

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E22-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F50-28 (TC) - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher

    REPLACE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
