DTC B1507: Open in Turn Signal Circuit [08/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT LIGHTS 
    1. Inspect the illumination of each turn signal light.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Front turn signal light LH does not blink A
      Rear turn signal light LH does not blink B
      Front turn signal light RH does not blink C
      Rear turn signal light RH does not blink D

    Result:

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - JUNCTION CONNECTOR AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the F109 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F137 junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F109-8 (LL) - F137-12 Always Below 1 Ω
      F109-8 (LL) or F137-12 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - JUNCTION CONNECTOR AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A49 headlight assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the F136 junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A49-1 (B) - F136-7 Always Below 1 Ω
      A49-1 (B) or F136-7 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. INSPECT JUNCTION CONNECTOR 
    1. Remove the junction connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F137-12 - F136-7 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE JUNCTION CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  5. CHECK HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Connect the F109 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Connect the F136 and F137 junction connectors.
    3. Interchange the front turn signal light socket LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2015 - 08/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - ]

    4. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [08/2015 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2022 - ] 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - JUNCTION CONNECTOR AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the F109 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F137 junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F109-8 (LL) - F137-12 Always Below 1 Ω
      F109-8 (LL) or F137-12 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH - JUNCTION CONNECTOR AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the O12 rear combination light assembly LH connector.
    2. Disconnect the F137 junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O12-1 (TRN) - F137-11 Always Below 1 Ω
      O12-1 (TRN) or F137-11 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  8. INSPECT JUNCTION CONNECTOR 
    1. Remove the junction connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F137-12 - F137-11 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE JUNCTION CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  9. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Connect the F109 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Connect the F136 and F137 junction connectors.
    3. Interchange the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH with RH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2015 - ]

    4. Check that the rear turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Rear turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [08/2015 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2022 - ] 

  10. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - JUNCTION CONNECTOR AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the F109 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F137 junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F109-13 (LR) - F137-7 Always Below 1 Ω
      F109-13 (LR) or F137-7 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A51 headlight assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the F136 junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A51-1 (B) - F136-11 Always Below 1 Ω
      A51-1 (B) or F136-11 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  12. INSPECT JUNCTION CONNECTOR 
    1. Remove the junction connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F137-7 - F136-11 Always Below 1 Ω

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE JUNCTION CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  13. CHECK HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Connect the F109 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Connect the F136 and F137 junction connectors.
    3. Interchange the front turn signal light socket RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2015 - 08/2020] , or refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - ]

    4. Check that the front turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Front turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [08/2015 - 08/2020]  , or refer to  DISASSEMBLY [08/2020 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2022 - ] 

  14. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - JUNCTION CONNECTOR AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the F109 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the F137 junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F109-13 (LR) - F137-7 Always Below 1 Ω
      F109-13 (LR) or F137-7 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  15. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH - JUNCTION CONNECTOR AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the O13 rear combination light assembly RH connector.
    2. Disconnect the F137 junction connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O13-1 (TRN) - F137-8 Always Below 1 Ω
      O13-1 (TRN) or F137-8 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  16. INSPECT JUNCTION CONNECTOR 
    1. Remove the junction connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Result:

    REPLACE JUNCTION CONNECTOR

  17. CHECK REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Connect the F109 combination meter assembly connector.
    2. Connect the F136 and F137 junction connectors.
    3. Interchange the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly RH with LH and connect the connectors.

      Refer to DISASSEMBLY [08/2015 - ]

    4. Check that the rear turn signal light operates normally.

      OK

      Rear turn signal light blinks.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [08/2015 - ]

    REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - 08/2022]  , or refer to  REMOVAL [08/2022 - ]
