DTC B1875-67: Short in Passenger Side Front Seat Cushion Squib Circuit; DTC B1876-67: Open in Passenger Side Front Seat Cushion Squib Circuit; DTC B1877-67: Short to GND in Passenger Side Front Seat Cushion Squib Circuit; DTC B1878-67: Short to B+ in Passenger Side Front Seat Cushion Squib Circuit [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FRONT SEAT AIRBAG SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (FRONT SEAT CUSHION SQUIB RH) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

      *1 Front Seat Cushion Squib RH
      *2 Airbag Sensor Assembly
      *3 Connector C
      *4 SST
      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Front Seat Cushion Squib RH)
      *b Color: Yellow
    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
    3. Disconnect the front seat airbag sub-assembly connectors.
    4. Connect the red wire side of SST (resistance: 2.1 Ω) to connector C.
      WARNING:

      Never connect the tester to the front seat airbag sub-assembly (front seat cushion squib RH) for measurement, as this may lead to a serious injury due to airbag deployment.

      NOTE:
      • Do not forcibly insert SST into the terminals of the connector when connecting SST.
      • Insert SST straight into the terminals of the connector.
      • SST: 09843-18061 
    5. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
    6. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    7. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2012 - ] .

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

    8. Turn the ignition switch off.
    9. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    10. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2012 - ] .

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B1875/67, B1876/67, B1877/67 or B1878/67 is not output.

      HINT: 

      Codes other than DTC B1875/67, B1876/67, B1877/67 or B1878/67 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.

      Result Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG SUB-ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]  . 

    Result: 

    NG

  2. CHECK CONNECTORS 
    1. Disconnect the connectors from the airbag sensor assembly.
    2. Check that the connectors (on the airbag sensor assembly side and front seat airbag sub-assembly side) are not damaged.

      OK

      The lock button is not disengaged, and the claw of the lock is not damaged or deformed.

    REPLACE FLOOR WIRE

  3. CHECK FLOOR WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the connectors from the airbag sensor assembly.
    2. Connect the negative (-) terminal cable to the battery, and wait for at least 2 seconds.

      *1 Front Seat Cushion Squib RH
      *2 Airbag Sensor Assembly
      *3 Connector C

      (to Front Seat Cushion Squib RH)
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      M15-1 (FCP-) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
      M15-2 (FCP+) - Body ground Ignition switch ON Below 1 V
    5. Turn the ignition switch off.
    6. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.
    7. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M15-1 (FCP-) - M15-2 (FCP+) Always Below 1 Ω
    8. Release the activation prevention mechanism built into connector B.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [12/2012 - ] .

    9. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M15-1 (FCP-) - M15-2 (FCP+) Always 1 MΩ or higher
    10. Restore the released activation prevention mechanism of connector B to its original condition.
    11. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M15-1 (FCP-) - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher
      M15-2 (FCP+) - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher
      Result Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE FLOOR WIRE 

    Result: 

    OK

  4. CHECK AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connectors to the front seat airbag sub-assembly and the airbag sensor assembly.

      *1 Front Seat Cushion Squib RH
      *2 Airbag Sensor Assembly
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 2 seconds.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    4. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2012 - ] .

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs 

    5. Turn the ignition switch off.
    6. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and wait for at least 60 seconds.
    7. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2012 - ] .

      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B1875/67, B1876/67, B1877/67 or B1878/67 is not output.

      HINT: 

      Codes other than DTC B1875/67, B1876/67, B1877/67 or B1878/67 may be output at this time, but they are not related to this check.
