Operation Check [10/2015 - 08/2016]
- AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK (w/ Automatic Light Control System)
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Turn the headlight dimmer switch to the AUTO position.
- Cover the automatic light control sensor.
- Check that the taillights and low beam headlights come on.
- Uncover the automatic light control sensor.
- Check that the headlights, taillights, front fog lights*, parking lights, side marker lights and license plate lights turn off.
- *: w/ Front Fog Light
- LIGHT AUTO TURN-OFF SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK
- w/ Automatic Light Control System:
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Set the headlight dimmer switch to the AUTO position to illuminate the lights.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Open any of the doors (including back door).
- Close all of the doors (including back door).
- Check that the headlights, taillights, front fog lights*, parking lights, license plate lights and side marker lights go off after 30 seconds (delay function).
- *: w/ Front Fog Light
- w/o Automatic Light Control System:
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Set the headlight dimmer switch to the tail or head position to illuminate the lights.
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- When 20 minutes have elapsed with 1 or more doors in an opened state, check that the headlights, taillights, parking lights, license plate lights and side marker lights turn off (battery saving function).
- DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT SYSTEM
- Headlight dimmer switch is in the off (w/o DRL OFF switch) or AUTO (w/ Automatic Light Control System) position (and the low beam headlights are not turned on via the automatic light control system).
- Headlight dimmer switch not in the DRL OFF position. (w/ DRL OFF switch)
- Start the engine.
- Release the parking brake.
- Check that the daytime running lights come on.
- Check that the low beam headlights are dimmed via the automatic light control system (for Halogen Headlight) or the clearance warning light is illuminated (for LED Headlight).
