DTC B1247: Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver Communication Stop [12/2012 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) - TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver M11 connector and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) G78 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M11-4 (RDA) - G78-16 (RDA) Always Below 1 Ω
      M11-4 (RDA) or G78-16 (RDA) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE OF TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER) 
    1. Disconnect the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver M11 connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Tire Pressure Warning ECU and Receiver)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M11-12 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      M11-1 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 10 to 16 V

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    OK

  3. REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER 
    1. Replace the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver.

      Refer to REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]

    Result: 

    NEXT

  4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (B1247) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2012 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs 

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2012 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B1247 is not output.

    Result: 

    OK 

    END 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU):  REMOVAL [12/2012 - ]
