Removal [12/2012 - ]: Procedure

- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Refer to PRECAUTION [12/2012 - ] ).
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL NOTE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2012 - 10/2015] Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - 08/2016] Refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2016 - ] ).
- REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL

- REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15 Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15
- REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT ASSEMBLY
Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16 Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16
- REMOVE 4WD ECU ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the bolt and 4WD ECU assembly.
