DTC P0A10-263: DC / DC Converter Status Circuit High Input [08/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (NODD) Refer to   3 

    NG → Refer to   5 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CLEAR DTC Refer to   4 

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (READY).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC P0A10-263 is not output. A
      DTC P0A10-263 is output again. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    B → Refer to   8 

    A: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS Refer to   6 

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA 

    OK → Refer to   8 

  5. CHECK POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU (NODD) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Disconnect connector A59 from the inverter with converter assembly.
    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    4. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A59-12 (NODD) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Inverter with Converter Assembly)
      NOTE:

      Turning the power switch on (IG) with the inverter with converter assembly connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    6. Turn the power switch off.
    7. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    8. Connect the inverter with converter assembly connector.

    NG → Refer to   6 

    OK → Refer to   7 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Disconnect connector A59 from the inverter with converter assembly.
    3. Disconnect connector A21 from the power management control ECU.
    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    5. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    6. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      A59-12 (NODD) or A21-21 (NODD) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V

      (to Power Management Control ECU)
      NOTE:

      Turning the power switch on (IG) with the inverter with converter assembly connector and the power management control ECU connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    7. Turn the power switch off.
    8. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    9. Connect the inverter with converter assembly connector.
    10. Connect the power management control ECU connector.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → Refer to   8 

  7. REFER TO REPLACE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY PARTS. Refer to  DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2015 - ] 
  8. REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU. Refer to  COMPONENTS [08/2015 - ]
