Removal [07/2020 - ]: Procedure
- PRECAUTION NOTE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

- REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP

- REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

- REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL

- REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE LH

- REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT LH

- DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE WARNING:
Wear insulated gloves.
NOTE:Do not allow any foreign matter or water to enter the inverter with converter assembly.
- Move each lock lever as shown in the illustration and disconnect the 2 inverter with converter assembly connectors.NOTE:
- Do not damage the terminals, connector housing or inverter with converter assembly during disconnection.
- Cover the hole where the cable was connected with tape (non-residue type) or equivalent to prevent entry of foreign matter.
- Insulate the disconnected terminals with insulating tape.
- Do not touch the waterproof seal or terminals of the connector.
- Remove the bolt.
- Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the engine wire.
- Move each lock lever as shown in the illustration and disconnect the 2 inverter with converter assembly connectors.
- REMOVE CONNECTOR COVER ASSEMBLY

- DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS WARNING:
Wear insulated gloves.
- Disconnect the 2 HV battery junction block assembly connectors.
*A for NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY *B for LITHIUM-ION BATTERY *a Shield Ground NOTE:Insulate each disconnected high-voltage connector with insulating tape. Wrap the connector from the wire harness side to the end of the connector.
- Disconnect the shield ground from the HV battery.
- Disconnect the 2 HV battery junction block assembly connectors.
- REMOVE INVERTER TERMINAL COVER (for NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY)

- DISCONNECT NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY
- REMOVE HV FLOOR UNDER WIRE (for LITHIUM-ION BATTERY) WARNING:
Wear insulated gloves.
NOTE:Insulate the disconnected connectors with insulating tape.
- REMOVE HV FLOOR UNDER WIRE (for NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY) WARNING:
Wear insulated gloves.
NOTE:Insulate the disconnected connectors with insulating tape.
- Disengage the 2 clamps.
- Disengage the 5 clamps.
- Disengage the clamp.
- Remove the 2 nuts.
- Remove the 3 clamps.NOTE:
If the clamps are removed forcibly, the stud bolts may be damaged.
- Disengage the grommet and pull out the HV floor under wire from the floor panel hole.
- Remove the clamp (A).
- Disengage the clamp (B) to remove the HV floor under wire.
- Disengage the 2 clamps.
- REMOVE HV BATTERY PACK WIRE (for NICKEL METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY) WARNING:
Wear insulated gloves.
