Removal [11/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM 

    See step  1

  2. REMOVE SERVICE PLUG GRIP 

    (Refer to REMOVAL [11/2015 - ] )

  3. CHECK TERMINAL VOLTAGE 
    1. Remove the inverter terminal cover (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 ).
    2. Remove the inverter cover (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 ).
    3. Check the terminal voltage (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 ).
    4. Install the inverter cover (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11 ).
    5. Install the inverter terminal cover (Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 ).
  4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  5. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the compressor with motor assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  6. DISCONNECT SUCTION HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the suction hose sub-assembly from the compressor with motor assembly.

    2. Remove the O-ring from the suction hose sub-assembly.
      NOTE:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  7. REMOVE COMPRESSOR WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, slide the green-colored lock of the connector <A> in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to release it and disconnect the connector.

      *1 Green-colored Lock
      WARNING:

      Make sure to wear insulating gloves.

      NOTE:

      Insulate the removed terminals and connector with insulating tape.

    2. Disconnect the connector <B>.
    3. Remove the 3 bolts and the compressor with motor assembly.
