Removal [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH 

    for Manual Seat: Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

    for Power Seat: Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

  2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

  3. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]

  4. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    HINT: 

    Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip LH to the extent that allows the removal of the center pillar lower garnish LH.

  5. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  7. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH 

    HINT: 

    Disconnect the rear door opening trim weatherstrip LH to the extent that allows the removal of the center pillar lower garnish LH.

  8. REMOVE LOWER CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 14

  9. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 9

  10. SEPARATE FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disengage the 3 floor carpet hooks to separate the front floor carpet assembly.

  11. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX INSERT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  12. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 AIR DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 25

  13. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 AIR DUCT 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 26

  14. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR FOOTREST 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the front floor footrest.

  15. DISCONNECT FRONT NO. 3 FLOOR SILENCER 
    1. Disconnect the front No. 3 floor silencer to the extent that allows the removal of the parking brake control pedal assembly.

  16. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts, 2 screws and clip (A).

    2. Disengage the 2 clips (B) and remove the front floor cover LH.
  17. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER 
    1. Remove the nut and 2 screws.

      Screw
    2. Disengage the 4 clips and remove the front center floor cover.
  18. REMOVE REAR ENGINE SERVICE COVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and rear engine service cover assembly from the body.

  19. LOOSEN NO. 1 WIRE ADJUSTING NUT 
    1. Completely release the parking brake pedal.
    2. Remove the lock nut and loosen No. 1 wire adjusting nut to completely release the parking brake cable.

      *1 Lock Nut
      *2 No. 1 Wire Adjusting Nut
  20. SEPARATE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Separate the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake equalizer.

  21. SEPARATE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    Perform the same procedure as for the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  22. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER 
    1. Slide the rubber boot as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the parking brake equalizer from the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

  23. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY WITH MAIN BODY ECU 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  24. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 23

  25. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, and separate the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the body.

    2. Disengage the clamp.
    3. Pull out the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly toward the cabin.

    4. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.

    5. Remove the 3 nuts and parking brake control pedal assembly from the body.
