Tire Pressure Warning Light Circuit [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM) 
    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output.

      Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [12/2013 - 11/2016] Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [11/2016 - ]

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output. A
      DTCs are output. B

    Result: 

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM.  

    Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [12/2013 - 11/2016] 

    Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2016 - ] 

    Result: 

    See step  2

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (B1247) 
    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2013 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Clear DTCs 

    2. Turn the ignition switch off.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Check for DTCs.

      Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [12/2013 - ]

      Body Electrical > Main Body > Trouble Codes 

      OK

      DTC B1247 is not output.

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO DTC (B1247). 

    Refer to  DTC B1247: Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver Communication Stop [12/2013 - 11/2016]  

    Refer to  DTC B1247: Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver Communication Stop [11/2016 - ]  

    Result: 

    OK

  3. CHECK OPERATION OF TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT (ACTIVE TEST) 
    1. Turn the ignition switch off.
    2. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Turn the Techstream on.
    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
    6. Check the condition of the tire pressure warning light using the Techstream.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Indicat. Tire Pressure Warning System Tire pressure warning light OFF or ON Confirm that the vehicle is stopped with the engine idling.

      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test 

      Tester Display
      Indicat. Tire Pressure Warning System

      OK

      The tire pressure warning light turns on or off in accordance with the Techstream operation.

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER. 

    Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2013 - ] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM.
