Removal [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    NOTE:

    Removing the lower steering column cover in the incorrect order will cause the parts to break.

    1. Release the tilt and telescopic lever and fully extend and lower the steering column.
    2. Lock the tilt and telescopic lever.
    3. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the left and remove the screw.

    4. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right and remove the screw.

    5. Push the left side of the lower steering column cover and disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

      *a Push
    6. Push the right side of the lower steering column cover and disengage the claw as shown in the illustration.

    7. Insert your fingers into the opening for the tilt and telescopic lever on the lower steering column cover and disengage the claw (A).

      HINT: 

      Spread the claw to disengage it.

    8. Disengage the 2 claws (B) to remove the lower steering column cover.
  2. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 
    1. Disengage the 2 claws and 4 clips to separate the instrument cluster finish panel assembly from the upper steering column cover.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the upper steering column cover.

  3. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn the steering wheel assembly to the right.
    2. Disconnect each connector.

      *a Screwdriver
    3. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and remove the windshield wiper switch assembly as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      If the claw is pushed with excessive force, it may break.
