Installation [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. INSTALL FRONT DOOR UPPER OUTSIDE MOULDING PAD 
    1. Clean the front fender moulding.
      1. Remove any double-sided tape from the front fender moulding.
      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    2. Install a new front door upper outside moulding pad.
      1. Remove the release paper from a new front door upper outside moulding pad.

        HINT: 

        After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      2. Install the front door upper outside moulding pad as shown in the illustration.

  2. INSTALL FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    When installing the front fender wheel opening moulding sub-assembly, heat the vehicle body and front fender wheel opening moulding sub-assembly using a heat light.

    HEATING TEMPERATURE

    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Front Fender Wheel Opening Moulding Sub-assembly 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
    NOTE:

    Do not heat the vehicle body or front fender wheel opening moulding sub-assembly excessively.

    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the front fender moulding sub-assembly.
    2. Clean the vehicle body surface.
      1. Remove any double-sided tape from the vehicle body.
      2. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.
    3. Remove the release paper from a new front fender wheel opening moulding sub-assembly and the front door upper outside moulding pad.

      HINT: 

      After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    4. Engage the 8 clips and attach the double-sided tape.

      HINT: 

      Press the front fender wheel opening moulding sub-assembly with front fender moulding sub-assembly firmly to install it.

    5. Engage the 4 claws.

    6. w/o Mudguard:
      1. Install the 6 clips.
      2. Install the 2 screws.
    7. w/ Mudguard:
      1. Install the 5 clips.
    8. Install the clip.

      *1 Pin Hold Clip
      *a Correct
      *b Incorrect
    9. Install the front fender wheel opening moulding sub-assembly with the 2 screws.
    10. Install the pin hold clip as shown in the illustration.
      NOTE:

      Insert the pin hold clip with the slot aligned vertically. Do not rotate the clip after inserting it. After installation, confirm that the slot is aligned vertically.

  3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD (w/ Mudguard)
