Removal [02/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. PRECAUTION 
    NOTE:

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative(-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    Refer to PRECAUTION [02/2014 - 11/2016] , or refer to PRECAUTION [12/2016 - ]

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [02/2014 - 11/2016] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [12/2016 - ]

  5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 6

  7. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7

  8. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR UPPER ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 8

  9. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10

  11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 18

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 19

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  14. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP 

    See step  2

  15. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39 , or refer to PROCEDURE - Step 39

  16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR UPPER INNER BLACK OUT TAPE 
    1. Using a heat light, heat the front door upper inner black out tape and vehicle body.
      HEATING TEMPERATURE

      Item Temperature
      Front Door Upper Inner Black Out Tape and Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
      NOTE:

      Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.

    2. Pull back on one of the ends of the front door upper inner black out tape to remove it.

      HINT: 

      When pulling on the front door upper inner black out tape, pull it parallel to the body.

  17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR INNER BLACK OUT TAPE 
    1. Using a heat light, heat the front door rear inner black out tape and vehicle body.
      HEATING TEMPERATURE

      Item Temperature
      Front Door Rear Inner Black Out Tape and Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
      NOTE:

      Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.

    2. Pull back on one of the ends of the front door rear inner black out tape to remove it.

      HINT: 

      When pulling on the front door rear inner black out tape, pull it parallel to the body.
