Adjustment [02/2014 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    See step  1

  2. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Horizontally and vertically adjust the hood.
      1. Loosen the hinge bolts of the hood.

      2. Adjust the clearance between the hood and front fender by moving the hood.
      3. Tighten the hinge bolts after adjustment.

        Torque: 13 N*m (133 kgf*cm, 10 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Adjust the height of the front end of the hood using the hood bumper cushions.
      1. Adjust the hood bumper cushions so that the heights of the hood and fender are aligned.

        HINT: 

        Raise or lower the front end of the hood by turning the hood bumper cushions.

    3. w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:
      1. Remove radiator grille.

        Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]

    4. w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:
      1. Remove millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

        Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - 11/2016]

    5. Adjust the hood lock.
      1. Using a screwdriver, remove the hood lock nut cap.

        *a Protective Tape

        HINT: 

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      2. Loosen the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

        *1 Hood Lock Bolt
      3. Adjust the hood lock and tighten the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

        Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf)

      4. Check that the striker can engage with the hood lock smoothly.
      5. Install a new hood lock nut cap.

    6. w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:
      1. Install radiator grille.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2014 - 11/2016]

    7. w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:
      1. Install millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

        Refer to INSTALLATION [02/2014 - 11/2016]
