Gateway ECU Communication Stop Mode [12/2013 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the F85 network gateway ECU connector.

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Network Gateway ECU)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F85-16 (CA1H) - F85-15 (CA1L) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (NETWORK GATEWAY ECU) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Network Gateway ECU)

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F85-4 (GND) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      (to Network Gateway ECU)

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F85-2 (BATT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      F85-9 (IG2) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V
      F85-10 (IG1) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2013 - 11/2016] 

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
