Removal [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 11

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  3. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for Engine) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  6. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [02/2014 - ]

  7. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  8. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 22

  9. SEPARATE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 32

  10. REMOVE RESERVOIR BRACKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 33

  11. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS 
    1. Disengage the wire harness clamp from the wire harness clamp bracket.

      *a Fuel Tube Sub-assembly Connector
      *b EGR Valve Assembly Connector
    2. Disconnect the fuel tube sub-assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the EGR valve assembly connector.
  12. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 15

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE GASKET 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 16

  14. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the water by-pass hose assembly from the EGR valve assembly.

    2. Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the 2 water by-pass hose assemblies from the EGR cooler assembly.

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 6 water by-pass hose from the EGR cooler assembly.

  16. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts and disconnect the EGR cooler assembly from the EGR cooler bracket.

      *1 EGR Cooler Assembly
      *2 No. 1 EGR Pipe
      *3 Exhaust Manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst)
      Bolt
      Nut
    2. Remove the 4 nuts and bolt and disconnect the No. 1 EGR pipe from the EGR cooler assembly and exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst).
    3. Remove the 4 bolts and disconnect the EGR cooler bracket from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly RH and camshaft housing sub-assembly RH.

    4. Remove the EGR valve assembly, EGR cooler assembly, No. 1 EGR pipe and EGR cooler bracket.
    5. Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 9 water by-pass hose from the EGR valve assembly.

    6. Remove the 2 nuts and EGR valve assembly from the EGR cooler assembly.

    7. Remove the EGR valve gasket from the EGR valve assembly.
  17. REMOVE EGR INLET GASKET 
    1. Remove the EGR inlet gasket from the exhaust manifold (TWC: Front Catalyst).

    2. Remove the EGR inlet gasket from the No. 1 EGR pipe.
