DTC P2118: Throttle Actuator Control Motor Current Range / Performance [11/2016 - ]: Procedure

- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (+BM VOLTAGE)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / +BM Voltage.
Powertrain > Engine and ECT > Data List
Tester Display +BM Voltage - Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.
Standard Voltage
11 to 16 V
Result
Proceed to OK NG

CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [11/2016 - ]

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - ECM, BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C1-30 (+BM) - Body ground Always 11 to 16 V - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition C1-29 (ME01) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω C1-53 (E1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω Result
Proceed to OK NG
