DTC P0A09-265: DC / DC Converter Status Circuit Low Input [02/2014 - 11/2016]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR) 

    See step  1

    Result

    Proceed to
    OK
    NG

    Result: 

    NG 

    CONNECT SECURELY 

    Result: 

    OK 

    Go to next step 

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR) 

    See step  3

    Result Proceed to
    OK A
    NG (The connector is not connected securely.) B
    NG (The terminals are not making secure contact or are deformed, or water or foreign matter exists in the connector.) C

    Result: 

    CONNECT SECURELY 

    Result: 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    Result: 

    Go to next step 

  3. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

    5. Clear the DTCs and freeze frame data.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Clear DTCs 

    6. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    NEXT 

    Go to next step 

  4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Depress the brake pedal and turn the power switch on (READY).

      HINT: 

      Perform this step to check if the power switch can be turned on (READY).

    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check for DTCs.

      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes 

      Result Proceed to
      Power switch cannot be turned on (READY) and P0A09-265 is output. A
      Power switch can be turned on (READY) and P0A09-265 is not output. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    Result: 

    CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS. 

    Refer to CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS [02/2014 - ] .

    Result: 

    Go to next step 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RESISTANCE VALUE OF NODD INSIDE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU) 

    See step  11

    Result

    Proceed to
    OK
    NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY. 

    Refer to COMPONENTS [02/2014 - 11/2016] .

    Result: 

    NG 

    Go to next step 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY - POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair manual because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Disconnect the A46 inverter with converter assembly connector.
    3. Disconnect the A60 power management control ECU connector.
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A46-24 (NODD) - A60-23 (NODD) Power switch off Below 1 Ω
      A46-24 (NODD) or A60-23 (NODD) - Body ground and other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Inverter with Converter Assembly)
      *b Rear view of wire harness connector
      (to Power Management Control ECU)
    5. Reconnect the A60 power management control ECU connector.
    6. Reconnect the A46 inverter with converter assembly connector.

      Result

      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU. 

    Refer to COMPONENTS [02/2014 - 11/2016] .

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
